❓ What time is Sunday lunch served?
Our Sunday Lunch at North Star is served every Sunday from 12 PM – 6PM, or until we sell out (and we often do!).
We recommend coming earlier in the afternoon for the full choice of meats and desserts.
❓ Do you offer vegan or gluten-free roasts?
Absolutely. We proudly serve a Caramelised Onion & Lentil Loaf, completely vegan and available gluten-free.
We also offer vegan Yorkshire puddings, plant-based gravy, and can adapt sides where needed. Just let your server know your dietary requirements — our kitchen’s got you covered.
❓ Do I need to book a table?
Walk-ins are always welcome, but Sunday lunch is one of our busiest times, especially between 1–3 PM.
To guarantee a table (particularly for groups or families), we recommend booking in advance using our online booking system — instant confirmation!
❓ Do you do kids’ portions?
Yes! Our kids’ Sunday roasts are smaller servings of our main plates — still with all the trimmings.
We can also offer simpler options for younger diners on request. High chairs are available, and we’re family-friendly throughout the venue.
❓ How much does Sunday lunch cost?
Our roasts start from £12 for vegan and vegetarian
options, £13.50–£16.50 for meat roasts, and £17.50 for the North Star Feast (a trio of meats).
Starters are from £5, and desserts start from £5.95.
❓ What drinks pair well with the roast?
We’ve got you sorted! From local craft ales to a perfectly chilled white wine or a bold Malbec, our team can recommend the best match for your roast.
And yes — we pour a mean Bloody Mary for those slow Sunday starts.
❓ Where can I park?
There’s limited on-street parking near North Star, and a large Pay & Display car park at Maindy Leisure Centre, just a 2-minute walk away.
❓ Do you host large groups or private bookings?
Yes, we welcome large groups, birthdays, family get-togethers and society meals.
For groups of 8 or more, we recommend booking ahead via our Dojo link or contacting info@northstarcardiff.comfor pre-orders and table arrangements.
❓ Can I bring my dog?
Yes! North Star is dog-friendly!
We even keep a jar of treats and a bowl of fresh water handy for your four-legged pub companion.
